The Client Services Manager is a key member of the GPG fundraising consulting team focused on supporting exemplary client service delivery.

The Client Services Manager will support a portfolio of nonprofit clients in partnership with other GPG team members. Working with senior consultants, the Client Services Manager role is to ensure each client project is delivered on time, efficiently and achieves desired outcomes and objectives. Our consulting team serves as strategic leaders inspiring nonprofit leaders to achieve their dreams for a better world.

Client Services Manager responsibilities

The Client Services Manager supports our team of consultants in providing exemplary client service delivery and hand-on support to a portfolio of nonprofit clients.

To that end, the Client Services Manager will:

  • Manage overall scheduling and coordination of consulting team and deliverables
  • Produce client meeting agendas including the objectives for each meeting.
  • Support report development through data gathering and visualization, report organization, and report section development under the direction of the managing consultant.
  • Serve as the day-to-day leader on moving work plan objectives forward, providing reminders to GPG staff and clients, when needed.
  • Attending client meetings for the purpose of taking comprehensive notes to ensure action items, follow-up steps and client feedback are documented.
  • Prepare meeting follow-up memos including action steps and other follow-up items.
    Work with managing consultants following consultant onsite work to ensure follow up steps, reports, action items are completed on time.
  • Support development of concrete, actionable project work plans designed to guide each client project to successful completion.
  • Track and monitor action steps in our project management systems for consultants, team members, clients, and self.
    Use all available GPG resources—ability, experience, templates, tools, etc.—to seamlessly and efficiently advance project plans.
  • Contribute resources to the GPG library through client work.
    Support clients with material, information and data requests as needed for internal assessments and other types of client projects.
  • Interpreting data analyses including DonorSearch screening results.
  • Present and participate in conferences, workshops, and webinars hosted by GPG and other industry groups.
  • Promote and engage with GPG content across social media channels.
  • Adopt a client-centric approach.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: At least 2+ years’ experience in fundraising, ideally including experience focusing full-time on relationship-based fundraising (major gifts, foundations, or corporate partnerships).

Skills:

  • Ability to ‘manage up.’
  • Experience supporting leadership on client relationships and/or projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superb relationship management, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, including grammar and punctuation.
  • Experience managing projects to successful completion.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills and ability.
  • Openness to the ever-changing, dynamic environment of a start-up company.
  • Eagerness to learn new knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to travel for assignments, as needed.

Location
This role combines remote work-from-home and on-site client support requirements, which can vary by project from no onsite support to daily support. To help work-from-home, GPG will provide essential technology equipment.

Compensation
GPG is pleased to offer a competitive compensation and benefit package, as well as accelerated career development opportunities. Base compensation for this role is $55,000 – $75,000 commensurate with experience in relationship-based fundraising.
