Eli Jordfald, MPA, CFRE

Eli Jordfald, MPA, CFRE, is an executive leader of fundraising in academic healthcare and the non-profit sector. In her role as Executive Director of Healthcare Philanthropy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UNC Health Foundation, Jordfald has been leading a comprehensive grateful patient development program that engages physicians across all service lines as well as hospital leaders, and frontline development teams. Jordfald has served as the subject matter expert on fundraising under HIPAA for the UNC Health Foundation.

She has implemented training programs, created data analytics and worked with predictive models that resulted in significant growth in gratitude gifts in support of research, professorships, clinical and community health programs.  Prior to this role, Jordfald was Senior Director of Development for the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center for 12 years where she was a top producer.

Jordfald’s development experience spans over three decades and encompasses five large campaigns for healthcare, museums and social service organizations.  Jordfald is considered a national authority on several areas related to healthcare philanthropy and best practices in fund development.  She has been a frequent presenter at national conferences including AAMC, AFP, NACCDO and AHP.

Jordfald’s consulting expertise includes feasibility studies, major campaigns, data driven fundraising, and coaching of staff, executives and volunteers.
